GAME SHOW HOST VIDEO SUBMISSION

Start with slate:

Host slates with name and hometown – “Hello, my name is (say your full name) and I am from (say the name of your home town) and I enjoy (say some hobbies that you enjoy).”
“One of my favorite game shows is (say the name of a favorite game show). If I were to host the game show, here is how I would host:”

Next, improvise a short “hosting” segment of a game show. Below are 2 examples of short hosting scripts:

Sample #1:
Host reads/says the below verbiage in an upbeat and energetic manner:

“Hello everybody! Welcome to the stage where families face off, laughter reigns supreme, and the survey says… it’s Family Feud!”

Slight pause, engaging the imaginary audience. Host continues speaking:

“Alright, families, listen up! Here’s how the game works. The show surveyed 100 people and came up with the top answers to our questions. The goal is to guess those popular responses and rack up the points! There will be some exciting double and triple points rounds to keep things interesting, and for the winning family, a chance at even bigger prizes in the Fast Money round!”

Sample #2:
Host reads/says the below verbiage in an upbeat and energetic manner:

“Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of all of us, welcome to America’s favorite answer and question game, Jeopardy!”

Slight pause, engaging the imaginary audience. Host continues speaking:

“And now for the rules. In Jeopardy!, contestants will be presented with clues. You must phrase your responses in the form of a question, beginning with “What is? Or Who is?” For example, if the clue is ‘This city is the capital of France’, the correct response is ‘What is Paris?’ So let’s get started and meet today’s contestants!”
