ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Gondola Experience at The Venetian Hotel is seeking qualified Gondola Valet Attendants for Part-time and On-call positions for the Gondolier Program. The Gondola Valet Attendant is a key position for the safe and healthy operation of the indoor and outdoor gondola attractions.  This position will operate 7 days a week, 4 hour shifts.  The responsibilities of this position are as follows:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing each gondola after guests exit the gondola; areas include, but not limited to, gondola seats and handrails, outer rims, seatbelts and remo; morning shifts will be responsible for cleaning all gondolas before the ride opens; evening shifts will be responsible for cleaning all gondolas after the ride closes
  • Assisting guests on and off of the gondola
  • Engaging with guests while loading guests onto the gondola
  • Handing guests their “VCARD” once loaded onto the gondola
  • Reporting to Venetian PAD to pick up all cleaning supplies, PPE, etc prior to arriving at the dock

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Ability to follow directions with a sense of urgency
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn an Italian accent
  • Must be able to work flexible hours; including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to balance on a moving and rocking gondola
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, employees, and clients

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Seasonal- Part-time/On-call positions available
  • Non-exempt- hourly; paid bi-weekly
