THE PARADE OF MISCHIEF AND HOLIDAY PARADE AT DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN ARE BACK!!
BESTAgency is excited to announce open call auditions for the Parade Of Mischief and the Holiday Parade. We are seeking energetic performers with positive attitudes who love interacting with crowds. Please review all the information below for requirements along with the dates for fittings, rehearsals, and performances. Your availability will determine hiring. Participation in street rehearsals and parade performances are mandatory.
CASTING AND REQUIREMENTS
DANCERS
– Ages 10+
– Proficient in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, ballroom. female ballet dancer proficient on pointe
MUSICAL THEATER ACTORS/ACTORS THAT MOVE WELL
– Ages 10+
– Portray Characters such as: Addams Family, Horror Movie Characters; Chucky, Joker, Pennywise, etc. Star Wars Characters; Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Ahsoka, etc. The Peanuts Gang, Grinch, Buddy the Elf, Mrs. Claus
TUMBLERS/CONTORTIONISTS/SPECIALTY ACTS
– Ages 10+
– Will be asked to showcase skills.
MASCOTS/MIMES/PUPPETEERS
– Ages 15+
– Must be able to comfortably lift, maneuver and carry up to 20 pounds
– Must be comfortable wearing full head and body costume
PARADE OF MISCHIEF SCHEDULE
FITTINGS:
You will be scheduled according to your role
Location: BESTAgency 4465 W. Hacienda, Suite 103, Las Vegas, NV 89118
– Fittings will be scheduled beginning the week of August 17
REHEARSALS:
RATE: $25.00/REHEARSAL
Location: Downtown Summerlin 1985 Festival Plaza Dr
Choreography Rehearsals: performers will be scheduled for 2 choreography rehearsals according to their assigned role – July 31 to September 16, exact dates TBC – 4 hours per rehearsal between 4:00pm-9:00pm.
Street Rehearsals: All Performers MUST attend all scheduled rehearsals – September 18 to October 1 – there will be 7 evenings total, exact dates TBC – 6:30pm to 10:30pm
PERFORMANCES:
RATE: $50.00/PARADE
Location: Downtown Summerlin 1985 Festival Plaza Dr
– MUST be available for ALL parade performances
– Fridays and Saturdays, October 2 through October 24
– 4:15pm to 7:15pm
END OF CONTRACT BONUS!
– If you are on time and attend all of your rehearsals, have a good attitude and take proper care of your costumes and props and know all of your choreography, then you will receive a bonus of $40.00 on your rehearsal check.
– If you are on time and attend all of the performances, have a good attitude, take proper care of your costumes and props and know all of your choreography, then you will receive a bonus of $75.00 on your performance check.
HOLIDAY PARADE SCHEDULE
FITTINGS:
You will be scheduled according to your role
Location: BESTAgency 4465 W. Hacienda Suite 103, Las Vegas, NV 89118
– Fittings will be scheduled beginning the week of October 5
REHEARSALS:
RATE: $25.00/REHEARSAL
Location: Downtown Summerlin 1985 Festival Plaza Dr
Choreography Rehearsals: performers will be scheduled for 2 choreography rehearsals according to their assigned role – October 26 to November 5, exact dates TBC – 4 hours per rehearsal between 4:00pm-9:00pm.
Street Rehearsals: All Performers MUST attend all scheduled rehearsals – November 6 to November 19 – there will be 7 evenings total, exact dates TBC – 6:30pm to 10:30pm
PERFORMANCES:
RATE: $50.00/PARADE
Location: Downtown Summerlin 1985 Festival Plaza Dr
– MUST be available for ALL parade performances.
– Fridays and Saturdays, November 20 to December 19
– 4:15pm to 7:15pm

TIME: Sign-in 10:30AM. Audition 11:00AM *WE WILL BE AUDITIONING FOR ALL ROLES AND BOTH PARADES
– Attire: Wear attire you can dance and move well in, preferably all one color.
– Please bring a resume that lists your current height along with a non-returnable head shot.
– Dancers will learn a choreographed routine and will be asked to freestyle, all others will learn simple choreography and walking patterns.
– You may be asked to improvise character movements and physical qualities.
– Specialty Acts will be asked to display specialty skills.
PARADE OF MISCHIEF & HOLIDAY PARADE AUDITIONS

TIME: Sign-in 12:30PM. Audition 1:00PM *WE WILL BE AUDITIONING FOR ALL ROLES AND BOTH PARADES
