Role and Responsibilities

The Gondola Experience at The Venetian Hotel and Casino is seeking qualified lifeguards for immediate positions for the Outdoor Gondolier Program.  The program runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Responsibilities include the following:

  • Must maintain constant surveillance of both guests in the gondolas on the canal and spectators surrounding the canal; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an emergency
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Must maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Must be able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Candidates should possess the following:

  • Current CPR Certification
  • Current Life Saving Certificate
  • Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, employees, and client
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
  • This position is part-time/on-call- DOE-Hourly
