Duties: BESTAgency is currently accepting resumes for the following position:
LIGHTING TECHNICIAN for their on-going program at an established Las Vegas Boulevard property.
The Lighting Technician is responsible for designing, programming and operating all lighting and special effects elements for shows and events in a unique theatre style venue.
Reporting to Production Manager
Job Requirements:
Has clear knowledge and understanding of computerized lighting consoles (Grand MA).
Develops thorough knowledge of all lighting equipment specific to venue to include static and moving lights
Oversees and coordinates the proper maintenance and troubleshooting of all show lighting and special effects equipment
Assists in technical operation for live shows and events, specifically operating the lighting console and special effect equipment
Inspects and maintains all lighting equipment and keep records of inspection and modifications
Coordinates purchases of new or replacement equipment with Production Manager
Coordinates system updates and equipment repairs in house or with product manufacturers
Assist with the creation of a safe, respectful, and positive working environment at all times
Communicates with vendors in matters of maintenance and safety
Plays important role in development of cost saving measures and technical improvements
Must have the ability to endure long periods of sitting and standing
Ability to work high above the ground
Safely operates technical equipment to include scissor lift, straight boom lift, and in the absence of production booth personnel, audio and automation procedures a plus
Experience in set design and construction a plus
Other duties as assigned by BESTAgency Corporate personnel and client
Qualifications:
Previous lighting experience; prefer at least 2 years in the entertainment industry as a lighting technician
Knowledge of Martin Mac 2ks
Ability to diagnose error codes
Ability to repair lighting fixtures a plus
