Duties: BESTAgency is currently accepting resumes for the following position: LIGHTING TECHNICIAN for their on-going program at an established Las Vegas Boulevard property. The Lighting Technician is responsible for designing, programming and operating all lighting and special effects elements for shows and events in a unique theatre style venue. Reporting to Production Manager Job Requirements: Х Has clear knowledge and understanding of computerized lighting consoles (Grand MA). Х Develops thorough knowledge of all lighting equipment specific to venue to include static and moving lights Х Oversees and coordinates the proper maintenance and troubleshooting of all show lighting and special effects equipment Х Assists in technical operation for live shows and events, specifically operating the lighting console and special effect equipment Х Inspects and maintains all lighting equipment and keep records of inspection and modifications Х Coordinates purchases of new or replacement equipment with Production Manager Х Coordinates system updates and equipment repairs in house or with product manufacturers Х Assist with the creation of a safe, respectful, and positive working environment at all times Х Communicates with vendors in matters of maintenance and safety Х Plays important role in development of cost saving measures and technical improvements Х Must have the ability to endure long periods of sitting and standing Х Ability to work high above the ground Х Safely operates technical equipment to include scissor lift, straight boom lift, and in the absence of production booth personnel, audio and automation procedures a plus Х Experience in set design and construction a plus Х Other duties as assigned by BESTAgency Corporate personnel and client Qualifications: Х Previous lighting experience; prefer at least 2 years in the entertainment industry as a lighting technician Х Knowledge of Martin Mac 2kТs Х Ability to diagnose error codes Х Ability to repair lighting fixtures a plus Х Excellent self motivation skills Х Professional demeanor Х Exceptional organization skills Х Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
